How to Convert Sievert to Millisievert

The sievert (Sv) is the main unit for measuring radiation dose, while the millisievert (mSv) is a smaller unit equal to one-thousandth of a sievert. To convert sieverts to millisieverts, use this simple formula:

mSv = Sv ร— 1000

This works because there are 1,000 millisieverts in one sievert, just like there are 1,000 millimeters in a meter.
